On Tuesday, July 14th The Edge went down to Lifepoint Foursquare in Des Moines, WA. We spent the afternoon down there pulling weeds, painting a wall in their preschool room, and doing other random landscaping tasks around their campus. 
The Edge is our seasonal discipleship program that challenges students to grow in their relationship with God. We do this through biblical discussions, acts of service and even opportunities for leading Bible discussions during Uturn JH services. 
This summer's Edge group is comprised of 9th grader, Emily Craig, and 8th graders Kyle Horn and Oriana Leach. Despite being one of our smaller seasons they definitely know how to work hard and get things done. They worked so quickly down at Lifepoint that you would have thought there was a huge group of students out there weeding. The Senior Pastors of Lifepoint Foursquare, Rick and Laurie Sherman, were so thankful for their hard labor in the beating sunshine that they treated us to a delicious ice cream cone.If interested you should sign up for the fall season of The Edge. It takes place from September thru November on Tuesdays and Wednesdays.
