Mexico Mission Trip: Day Five

Today was a day when we exercised our flexibility. The plan for today was to get a lot done on various projects around the campus, but the weather had something else in store. Right after getting started the rain began to fall and it impeded some of our progress. We were still able to detail the inside of the bus and organize storage rooms and sheds, but the bodega project stalled. We were able to get some of the remaining walls up, but we were unable to get the roof supports made and up like be had hoped.

Despite the changes in plans and the raining weather our team continued to work hard and was willing to do anything necessary to help out. Today was a day of accomplishments, but really was a great teachable moment on being flexible and learning to go with the flow.

Tomorrow is another day down here in paradise, please continue to pray for us.

  1. Hey guys,
We're praying for you and trust God is working in you and through you. Keep up the good work. We look forward to seeing you!

River, I missed leading worship with you on Easter. It all worked out well, but you were missed! We're proud of the man you're becoming. Keep allowing God to work on your soft heart...

    Love you guys,
    Shaun & Jade Wilson

  3. Great work team. So proud of your continued hard work. The whole family loves to come home at night and read the blog updates on all the exciting things God has done for that day - amazing.

I count down the days until I can hug my hubby and son! You'd be proud of me Ken, I'm holding down the fort with 3 kids by myself on Spring Break and managing to stay sane. We look forward to hugging you both on Saturday.

GO JH TEAM! YOU GUYS ROCK!

    Blessings,
    Gwen Gabriel
    (Jordyn, Makenna and Braden too)

  4. Flexibility is learning that God has a different plan than you did for the day! It makes it more fun to spend the time trying to see what He's up to!

Praying for continued blessings and protection for you all!

    Love you John and Michelle!

  5. Douglas,
It's cold and rainy here... I hope you are enjoying the sun and warmth. Looks like you're working hard. Mom is looking at the blog photos every day to see you/what you're doing. GrandDad, Grandmother, Grandma, and Grandpa are watching too! Take care - I can't admit publicly that I miss you, Andrew
